No less than EIGHT of our rising stars are in line to play for Wexford this coming Saturday, as the County Development Squads at under-14, under-15 and under-16 level play their biggest tournaments of the year.
The under-14s are heading for Waterford to take part in the Tony Forristal Cup and Sonny Walsh Cup; the under-15s stay at home in Wexford for the Michael Foley Leinster Tournament; and the under-16s will be making the trip to Tipp for the Tipperary Supporters Club All-Ireland U-16 Hurling Tournament (formerly known as The Arrabawn).
At under-14 level, Rory Scallan is in the Tony Forristal Cup panel, while Robert Murphy is in the squad for the Sonny Walsh Cup. The Tony Forristal team will play Laois and Kilkenny in the group stages, while the Sonny Walsh team will come up against Tipperary and Galway.
At under-15 level, we have three players in the Wexford North panel that will come up against Dublin North, Meath, Antrim, and Kilkenny North. They are Niall Murphy, James Lawlor, and Patrick O'Hagan.
We've another three in the under-16 squad, and they are Jeff Tobin, Conor Scallan, and Chris Turner.
We wish them all the very best of luck. Loch Garman agus Feárna Abú!
