Club Wexford Tournament Final
We're sorry to say that the Club Wexford tournament came to an unwanted end for Ferns in Bellefield on the night of Saturday November 26, when Buffers Alley beat our lads in the final by 5-10 to 0-14.
The Alley played with a strong wind in the first half and built up a lead that left Ferns with maybe just a bit too much to do in the second, and then all hope was lost when they struck again for more goals after the break.
The floodlit tournament was a novel venture and well worth taking part in, but the small entry overall and the small crowds might cast a doubt over whether it is run again in future years. Only time will tell....

Champions!
Congratulations to our under-21 footballers, who won the Wexford Roinn 1 football title for 2011 by beating St James's of Ramsgrange by 2-9 to 1-10 in St Patrick's Park on Saturday November 12.
It was a close match all the way through, but in the end, a goal for Ferns in the second half by Robert Vickers proved to be the crucial score and our lads hung on through a tight finish.
A full report can now be read on our match report page, and a range of photos from the game can be seen in our photo pages - just click here or where it says 'Photos' in the links at the top of this page

Jackpot!
For the first time since - well, since we've been putting the results on the website, anyway! - the jackpot prize has been won in our club lotto draw.
Ann Hughes from Kilanerin was the lucky winner on Tuesday November 1, when she matched the lucky numbers 4, 19, 24 and 27. She wins the prize of a cool €12,900 - there's the Christmas shopping sorted out!
The jackpot now reverts to €3,000 for the next draw. It would still be a nice prize, so please keep supporting us.

Up the Alley!
No, we're not suddenly supporting Buffers Alley, especially after they beat us in the League final - instead, we're offering you a chance to get up to the handball alley to become involved in the revival of the Ferns handball club that used to operate in bygone years.
Handball is undergoing something of a revival in many parts of the country these days, and we would like see Ferns be part of this too. We'll bring you more details soon about how things are going, but in the meantime, if you are interested in becoming involved, please contact Des O'Neill at (086) 8354969

Well done, Ed!
Well done to Ferns man Ed Walsh, who helped his new side - London club Robert Emmetts - to beat Moycullen of Galway in the All-Ireland Intermediate Club quarter-final in Ruislip on Sunday November 27.
Ed was full back on the side that won by 1-12 to 2-7. They are now through to play Mount Leinster Rangers of the Carlow in the semi-final.
