U14 Hurling Johnny Kavanagh Tournament

Our U14 hurlers were invited to Freshford in Co. Kilkenny on August Bank Holiday Monday to take part in the Johnny Kavanagh Memorial Tournament hosted by the St. Lachtain's Club there. They put in a great day's play, beating two Kilkenny teams in their group and losing only to the eventual winners of the tournament. Coming second in the group put them into the Shield Final, where they triumphed over the home club, making it three Kilkenny scalps claimed on the same day! Well done to all.
