Our first big fundraiser of 2021 is March on Together. It's to raise money to install new and improved floodlighting around the hugely-popular walking track at club grounds. A portion of all money raised will also be donated to Wexford Hospice Homecare Services.
March on Together is a walking/running challenge where we're asking people to cover 100km in 30 days, and collect sponsorship while they do so. It will run from Saturday March 6th to Sunday April 4th (Easter Sunday).
We've got team leaders looking after an average of eight walkers/runners each. A list of their names follows below.
The walking and running doesn't have to be at club grounds. You can do it anywhere. So whether you normally trot around Tombrack, canter through Clologue, fly around Ferns, stroll around The Stump, or tear through any of the townlands, it all counts.
We hope to install the new lights during April, so you'll soon see the results of what we're doing. We've seen great crowds at club grounds all winter long, ever since we began turning on the lights each night, and having new lights will mean it's better, safer, and more enjoyable for everybody in future years.
You can use the contact form below if you'd like to tell us you're willing to take part. Or if you prefer to just make a donation, tap the button to do so through our Go Fund Me page.
Thanks to all, and let's get out there walking and running!
